Check out MacTracker. It has startup chimes for various Mac models.
To get to the chimes, download the app. Right click on the application icon and choose 'Show Package Contents' from the contextual menu. Burrow down through Contents/Resources/Chimes.
The only other way I can think of to get the sounds would be to hook your computer's audio output to another computer's input, then reboot and record the sound (that's probably how they got those sounds for MacTracker).

We’ve all been there, wanting to have a custom ringtone or sound for our notifications on smart devices. Inasmuch as we know that getting these custom tones have become easier with lots of available apps, picking up the best notification sounds might not be the easiest thing to do. I want to download the Mac Startup sound to use as my text ringtone. Does anyone know how this can be achieved? IPhone 5, iOS 6. Htc sensation stock ruu htc.
